ABOUT TVAS

Thames Valley Archaeological Services was set up by Steve Ford in 1988 and is a medium sized archaeological field unit; we became a Limited Company in 1999. We have carried out over 1100 projects and produced around 1400 reports in the last 16 years. These projects range from 1 person/day watching briefs to substantial area excavations involving a large team of excavation and post-excavation staff. Our corporate and individual experience is extensive and we undertake projects of all periods and site types. We produce reports for clients and for archive, and publish significant findings in local, regional and national learned journals, as well as in our own refereed monograph series.

TVAS (Ireland) was established in April 2003, based in Ennis, Co. Clare with two licensed archaeologists.
